BRD Hosts Visit from Leading Tanzanian Transformer Maker Tanelec

BRD Group recently welcomed representatives from Tanelec Limited, Tanzania's largest transformer manufacturer, to explore potential collaboration opportunities. The visit allowed Tanelec to gain insights into BRD's innovative polyurethane insulated panelsolutions.

Founded in 1981, Tanelec is the predominant provider of distribution transformers, power transformers, switchgear, metering units and related products in the region. The company also operates the largest transformer refurbishment and repair center in East and Central Africa.

BRD's insulated panel solutions utilize polyurethane foam injected between metal skin layers, offering superior thermal insulation, fire resistance, and structural strength. These qualities make the panels well-suited for transformer housing, substation buildings, and site offices where temperature control and protection are critical.
