BRD Speeds Up 14,000 m² Steel-Structure Plant in Dammam, KSA

The final roof beam has just been hoisted into place, signaling that the large-scale steel-structure plant undertaken by BRD in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, has entered its final sprint. Since groundbreaking, the project team has applied a “daily-clear, weekly-close” management protocol and a fully certified construction crew. The result: zero accidents, zero rework, and a 14,000 m² main building taking shape on an aggressive three-month schedule.

The envelope system for this plant is a single-skin wall with cavity insulation; BRD is responsible for the complete steel super-structure and all associated installation works. To counter extreme heat and sandstorms in the region, the team has for the first time in Saudi Arabia deployed a “segmented enclosure + round-the-clock monitoring” method. Six trades and more than 120 workers now operate on two shifts, keeping every milestone on track. “From detail drawings and member erection to envelope closure, we provide a turnkey construction service—giving owners peace of mind and main contractors one less headache,” said the site manager.
